The following poem was written by a revert sister of Islam. She accepted Islam two years ago and is studying with me, presently.
I counted the day by tears,
Never by the smiles.
I counted the sky by clouds,
Never by the stars.
I counted gardens by the fallen leaf,
Never by the blooming flower.
I measured life through the misery of darkness,
I never had a mission in my life,
Before you guided me towards my goal.
I never knew the principle of nature
Until I stepped into the world of Muslims.
If I ever had missed the opportunity of becoming a Muslim,
I never would have known the beauty of Islam.
If You had not chosen me to be your slave.
I would have died in the state of kafirun.
